Survival of a Fever & a few Growls & Smiles

Just about 7 1/2 months into life Bacon Bean runs a fever. Previous, what the parents described as the most beautiful baby in the world, whilst also acknowledging the babe as a nuclear fueled Dennis the Menace, Lucius has not the energy or will to exercise a smile. BABY FEVER DAY 1 - Lucius behaves quite normally but body and head are hot to the touch. Action: see Doctor and receive 3 types of meds. DAY 2 - Lucius is given medicine, sleeps all day and diet reduces by 30%. Action: monitor, wait and worry. DAY 3 - Fever reaches 39.1, body and head extremely hot to the touch. Action: Doctor finally prescribes antibiotics. Day 4- After a day of continuous naps and doses of prescribed medicines baby Lucius's fever is down, but now has a rash on face and throughout body. Action: Doctor reached over the phone and comments that reaction is normal to fight with virus. Day 5 Baby Lucius comes to life with a smiles in the morning and some growling at parents. Action: Relief, smiles and growls!!!

Our answer to Bacon Bean's Recipe is a dash of dad, a dash of mom plus a whole lot of love and presto, we have our bacon bean specialty.

Who is Bacon Bean?

Thank you dad for my nick name! Apparently mom thinks dad looks like Mr. Bean and due to his frequent intake of bacon throughout the day, well, the name passed to me. Now dad is just Mr. bean and I am bacon bean! Cheers mom and dad for such a flattering nick name.

On November 29, 2008 a son was born, Lucius Augustine Salcedo, on Hong Kong island. The wonders of awaking to an alien world, are miraculous and seem to be lost from our memories. Here we try to capture some of the smiles and moments that are forgotten.
